Right, the track day is now all clear to go-ahead. we are looking to book it for Saturday 6th March 2004 at Binbrook airfield Nr Grimsby.

 

We are trying to keep the numbers to 30 MAX to avoid over-crowding. We would like this to be an all Zed affair if possible, and i have made a few phone calls and have arranged for the Nemesis Veilside 350z to join us ;) (thank you please Avid)

 

 

Please show a definite response of either yes or no if you would like to attend. Prices are likely to be around £90 for the whole day, with only us on the track.

 

It will be a wicked day for sure so please post below with your interest.

Mine's only airways / boost / chip, but the clutch/flywheel might help a bit.

At the mo the car is auto. I've toyed with manual covertion but, someone at the Zclub told me about a tripotronic convertion with cemi circular paddle change. The management system allows auto or manual operation and is designed to act with Racelogic traction control and launch control. Waiting for further info on this. Then cost will be the decider as I will also have to upgrade the torc converter.

Is that Shift-at-Will ™ ?

 

You'll still only have 4 gears to play with instead of 5... (and here's me thinking of putting 6 in mine!)

There is however a few hundred yards of grass for you to spin out on before you get close to hitting anything. I would rather spin out on grass than gravel

I've seen more cars flip on grass than on gravel at brandshatch :) its a bit bumper out there though.

It's not the gravel or the grass that bothers me. It's meeting someone like me on the circuit. I do a lot of karting and if there's a gap I'm in it, but if someone else sees a gap I'll shout the door. When your racing its to win. My new paint Job might keep the demon under control but ya carn't be sure once the adrenalin starts pumping:D

Well I'm told that the gizmo is programable so you can utilize the overdrive as a half gear so in effect you have 8 close ratio gears. Which is why it looks so attractive and if you increase the wheel and tyre diameter and width on the drive axal. Well enough said higher gearing to use the extra power for more speed and more rubber for better grip. Plenty of gizmos to sort speedo 200mph Z?????. without Nitro. Got to be something to aim for. Do you know any understanding Bankers and a silly drug to give the wife so she wakes up and understands the importance of such a project.:bow:

ive organiesed my other car club to come down and watch you for the day as we are based in grimsby and the owners son is in the maxd car club. not laxd car club.

ive spoken to my mate and anyone who is spectating is free and not £6? not sure about this but ask getgreedy he must know more.

Might be interested fellas but need to sort my autobox out this winter first, or it might get messy!!!

Whats the status on this event. Now I've sent my membership fee I want to book a place for sure.

For the same reason Ive had to pull out of the RR day at THOR, Im having to bow out of this event too.

For not it is still on but we dont have enough to make it an all Z affair. I will have to speak to Chris and make a decision about what is happening.

 

The up take has been slow and I would have thought we could have got 25-30 people for this but it doesnt look like it. If people do want to know we need to know now, not when there are a few weeks to go.

It may be a case where some people think they are on the list but are actually not. Or vice versa.
