Hi all

have a chance of a 400+bhp Veilside ecu complete(the Jap tuning company not the Uk aleged rip off car dealer)at a very good price and boost controller etc BUT...its off an iMport with "manual"gearbox and mines an auto,I have seen mention of non compatability but what is the true score is it a definate no no or what???? help I need to know before i miss the chance Cheers guys

Jeff - From what I've read on TTnet, I *believe* that an auto ecu will work with a manual, but not vice-versa.. Sorry..

 

Plus, if it's a Jap ECU - it's probably set up for their 100RON fuel.. Not good, not good at all.. (although apparently, Shell are going to start selling 100RON UL over here soon.. smile.gif )

Ahhhh but Aaron, I have heared that the government are trying to phase out super unleaded, and make it illegal, within the next few years. Stress on the trying. I think the EC is stopping them. At least they are good for some thing

Aahhhhh but the ecu company usually would retune it for uk spec if you ask nicly
