Drivers door vent!!

Hello all,

Could you guys tell me if the drivers door vent is a dummy, ie doesn't blow out air, or do I have some ducting missing on my car!!

 

I've noticed, the door vent ducts to the end of the dash and thats it. There is a duct outlet at the centre tunnel, which blows air out like crazy, so I've got the feeling i'm missing a ducting peice running from this under the steering columb to the end of the dash!! Could be missing as taken out when someone was fitting immobiliser/alarm wiring etc...

 

What do we think??
