Hi the site below I mentioned earlier actually rang me to confirm the Vin check and assured me that as we all thought old Quenton Willlyess was spouting figures that are not backed up by the trade and that there are preaty much a thriving stolen car racket in Uk any way let alone imports!! They also are able to check ?? (he said) that if your car is a clone..Anyway he gave a mine as good a clean bill of health as u can get.But his main point without been rude was its mainly high (£15k TO £20K+) that are the targets 2 or 3 years old ...would make sense. Also they are importers of new parts and can scource what ever you need

.............. WE WILL SEE.

Well they just got back to me and confirmed that the car was actually manufactured in November 1992, not April 1992 as I had originally been told. Therefore, in UK terms I should have a 'K' not a 'J' plate.

Anybody know what I have to do to challenge the plate I have been given? I can see that it would be beneficial to have a newer plate, when I come to sell it.

Everything else checks out 100% and there is no reason to suspect that the car is anything other than what it appears.

Can anyone with a jap 300 tell me how many no. there should be in the chassis code.

It should say GCZ32-xxxxxx and the model number has 12 digits on mine.
