Three men are walking down the street, each has 10 pounds. They decide to buy a tv set so they go into a shop. They see a tv for sale for £30 so they put their money together and buy it. Just after they leave the shop the manager asks the sales assistant what he just sold, the assistant says he sold the tv that was for sale for £30, the manager tells the assistant that it was on sale and was only £25 so he gets £5 and tells the assistant to give the guys their money back. The assistant runs out the shop and thinks to himself that he can't split £5 between three people so he gives each guy £1 back and pockets the other £2. So each bloke has only paid £9 each, 3x£9= £27 + the £2 they guy pocketed only make £29.... where did the other pound go?

Have fun.

It didn't. He basically has the £2 left over from them paying too much.

£30 (3 men)

= £25 (shop) + £5 (assistant)

= £25 (shop) + £3 (3 men) + £2 (assistant)

answer this - if you are the 50th worst and the 50th best out of a group - how many are in the group ? 99, 100 or 101 ?

99

49 infront, 49 behind and yourself. = 99.

Do i get a sweetie?

So basically in total theyve paid £25 pounds for the tv

If you divide £25 by 3 u get £8.3

So if he gave 1 pound back it becomes £9.3

multiply by 3 and you get £27.9 u cant divide the penny so in reality thats where the pound has gone the remaining amount is £2 from the £30

BOOOHHHHHHHH !!!!

That was easy !!!!

Its an old trick. You actually end up adding up the wrong things. There are 2 ways of working out the money, one from the shop point of view and one from the buyers point of view. You start to work out the puzzle from the shops point of view but because we have this assistant going between the shop and the customers we get the maths mixup and work out the last half of the puzzle from the customers point of view.

Very good, if you have that much common sense, why are you driving a 200sx???!!!:D ;) :p

not for the same reason you are driving a zed, because you must lack intellect, wit, charm, looks and most importantly a penis. :)

Oh and you are from pikey-ville. :)

Is that enough to satisfy sir? :D
