As some of you know I've been smoking on idle,

ย

I filled up with a tank of 95ron instead of the usual optimax, strangely there is no smoke at idle now. It may be worth trying for those with smokey idles.

I've got a tank of optimax in now so ill let you know how it goes. It may be a coincidence but ive been smokey for months and its within half a tank of petrol its stopped.

Mike,

was your smoke coming from just one, or both of your exhausts?

I've experienced occasional smoke at idle, about 30 secs after start-up then it goes with first blip of throttle. It happens some days and not others, I also alternate petrol between optimax or BP regular 95ron depending on where I am when car needs filling up.

Now you've mentioned this I will check for a pattern too.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

It seemed at first to just be the left bank, the right bank smoked but not so much, i filled up with optimax and its still not smoking, my clutch pedal has also stopped squeaking, maybe the cae fairies have visited me :)

Mike, maybe its the calm before the storm!!!;)

Hope all remains un smokey for you, maybe too much optimax can be a bad thing:eek:

Yuh my grandad sat up in bed once and said he felt the best he'd felt in 12 years, dropped down dead the following hour.,
