Hi every 1,

 

Finally had the car up on axle stands today to find the problem what i have been having with the rear end keep kicking out, i done a seach on here and found that others have had the same problem.

 

When up on stands i grabbed the rear wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock position and shook, there is so much play there that it seems to be deffinitely the Hicas arm end joint where it goes to the Hicas rack, also my shocks are leaking so bad that when car is pushed on boot it just keeps bouncing up and down so i take it these are shagged too. :(

 

I have placed this pic on here to give peeps an idea what arm i'm on about, it shows the ball joint without the rubber sleave thingy over it so i'm hoping you helpfull lot can tell me the best and cheapest places i can get these parts.

 

So i need: x2 rear shocks....x2 Hicas Arm

AndyZ sells second hand parts, as these are parts that wear anyway (& arnt really that expensive) i would buy new from Mike Feeney @ MJP in the traders section :)

Hi I have just had two fitted ,track rod ends yeah?, cost me 46 quid each from my mates local garage . he had to order them in came next day, i couldnt be bothered to shop around for that kind of money and keep the car off the road longer. Hope this helps a bit .John

it's the rod end that goes into the Hicas system rack, not the end that goes onto hub, does this come as seperate part or do i have to buy the whole rod i wonder????

Plus you can get stock rear shocks for an import for £30 - £40 ish each but UK model ones are about £130 each with the 2 position soft hard gizmo inside.

Thanks chaps, just ordered from Luke today at Z-Center or is it Z-World, anyway got 2 shocks and 2 track rods for £183, cant wait till it comes to get it sorted.

Parts arrived yesterday and fitted them today, car drives lovely now :D , thats 2 problems solved, now why do i have the feeling something else is gonna happen. :(
