Bridgestone SO-2 prices - please help!

Hi all,

 

Just started shopping around in the Birmingham area for my SO-2's (245/45Z16) and have been quoted everything from £210 to £260 each! I have now found a shop that will fit them for £166 each (incl. balancing, VAT, valve). These are the last pair they have and is a cash price. Is this a reasonable price or not. I need to make a decision in a few hours so would appreciate your feedback. As always - I'm grateful!

    Call Micheldever or MJP (don't have the numbers right now - search my old posts) they can arrange delivery and you can get them fitted locally. I would expect to pay around £115 each incl delivery and then £13 each for fitting & balancing - because they make most of their money on the tires and then shaft you royally for fit only.

    Andy - thanks m8! I called Micheldever and was quoted £116 per SO-2 and £122 per SO-3, £7.35 for mailorder delivery to my door overnight (for the pair). Unfortunately they haven't got SO-2's in stock at the moment so I have to wait a bit.

    You've got two hopes of getting S-02's at the moment (Bob and no). They're discontinued. Go for the S-03's.
