If everyone who receives a speeding ticket contests it in court, the whole system would collapse

I drove up through Norfolk at the weekend, and there were speed cameras on perfectly straight, open, well surfaced roads..hardly 'problem junctions or accident blackspots'!

Perhaps if the poor state of our roads were improved..there wouldn't be so many 'accidents'.Many junctions are badly designed and signposted...that's where a lot of collisions occur...nothing to do with 'speeding'

Speed cameras make money...Road improvement costs money!Once the cameras are in place, even if there were a change of Government,no politician is going to put his neck on the line and recommend removing them!!

Technically, it doesn't need to be "everyone" who contests speeding tickets. Statistically if just 10% of people who received them contested them, the law would change.
