I asked the company who do the track days about prices and dates for Binbrook and he doesnt want us to have our first track day at Binbrook. He says it is not a good track to have a large group of beginers on and said Elvington is perfect for us.

What you reckon we should do then?

I dont mind having it at Elvington, but I would have prefered Binbrook because it looks better and is more central for people to meet.

Please post your thoughts.

Donington's a great track, whether for first timers or more experienced drivers ! And you can even get your picture taking under the dunlop bridge ;)

Doesn't get much more central either :)

Elvington is fine by me - Oulton Park is good though ;)

Donnington is a good track but it is more expensive that an airfield day. But if people are prepaired to pay the extra Im game.

Dave I thought you where bothered about close barrirers. You ever seen Druids at Oulton? I have seen many a Touring Car written off by those barrieres. Again Oulton will be about the same cost as Donnington.

Any more peoples thoughts? Would you like Elvington or try some where completely different?

I say stick with Binbrook, and to be honest i cant imagine why he would prefer you not to book there, have they had problems if so what!,it would be perfect for a large group i would have thought, large run offs, wide straights, spot on to for those that have not done it before and at least there,s not going to be a million cones to look at spotted all over the place, and no 100mph cross wind:D ;)

ps,its what you make it that counts, will be a great meet and have a good laugh that matters:cool:

But by the tone of his last email he is refusing us to go on.

His words and I quote

I would really not council the use of Binbrook for a groups first trackday.

This was when I asked for prices and dates of Binbrook.

I have now been told we could do a novice friendly version of Binbrook but will have to do it soon after the new year.

They are also looking into new venues in the midlands too.

Would people like one sooner in the new year then?
