As I am not particulary brilliant with PC's can someone suggest a good easy to use package to copy/backup my DVD's

Do u have a dvd writer if you do then use adaptec easy cd creater version 6 which has a dvd copying facility it is also the easiest to use i feel.

 

If you dont then i suggest you go buy 1:D :D

 

Wait a bit and the best 1 to buy is the LG dvd writer im not sure if its out now or not but its compatible with everything (all copying formats) 1 of the best. Its a little bit more expensive than the others but its worth its price as it will be more compatible with future products.

Which DVDs are you talking about?

 

Are we talking Movie DVD or Data DVD?

 

Most original DVDs are dual layers and hold twice as much data as a DVD-R or DVD+R.

 

If you are talking about films, there are programs out there which will convert the DVD films into a higher compression and get rid of the special features and the forgen languages to save space. Allowing you to put them on to a normal DVD

If you get a DVD rewriter then get DVD X COPY Express.

 

All you have to do is put the DVD in the Drive and Press Copy.

 

Does all the compression and cuts out all the crap.

Now that sounds easy peasy cheers Jamie

even easier is a program called dvd shrink and its free, u can compress diferent bits of the film at diferent ratios, rip out unwanted audio tracks and decrypt on the fly. very high quality output too.

 

obviously this is only to be used with dvds u own the copyright too as anything else would be highly illegal.
