ok im at tehers end with jap lightbulbs, has anyone got a pic i can see as to how they did the conversion, i have made a pretty good idea but i cant get this lot right

I drill a 1mm hole into the back plate and then push the wire through. I soldered both sides of the hole then trim the surface that sits in the lamp so it sits flat. Apply some heat shrink or heat resistant gauze around the new wire as it gets chuffing hot in there and if you don't the plastic coating on the wire goes hard and snaps. I think the whole thing is a pain in the arse so may just order the real maccoy next time.
