TPS Problem

About 3 weeks ago I did a boost leak test and fixed various leaks which i fixed , to get to one of the leaks I had to remove the TPS.

Put it all back together and adjusted the TPS to 0.45 , now the problem I have is that the TPS voltage keeps moving up to 0.5 so I adjust it back to 0.45 , this has happened 4 times now and I physically do not have any more movement on the adjuster on the TPS.

The TPS is only 6 months old and the car has only done 2k since i fitted it.

Before I took it off and fixed the boost leaks it was rock steady at 0.45 all the time.

Anybody know why the voltage would move without adjusting the TPS itself ???

Does it need taking off completely and refitting? Or is it sliipong when you tighten the screws back up?

could it be a build quality fault in the TPS? like the bit in the top not being tightened enough and is moving slightly? Just a thought as im no electrician. good luck. si.

Cheers guys screwed in tightly and checked after it has been tightened up so I don't think it's that ,

hi mate, I had exactly the same problem with mine, I had to take the tps off for some reason but when it came to setting it up it was a 2 hour nightmare, mine would idle at 1500 revs no matter what I did even with the correct voltage showing (sorry carnt remember what voltage) then all of a sudden everything was calm..... I think these things are very very precise and only need a passing fart to move them of balance.
