The main differences are that the Mk2 300ZX has:

1. Heated seats, the buttons to operate them are next to the switch for the mirrors.

2. A pre-cat on the drivers side frown.gif

3. Suede trim on the doors & dash as opposed to carpet.

4. The external ambient temperature is not displayed in the air conditioner display.

Thats all I can come up with, I'm sure the others will have some more!

I think heated seats was an option, mine doesn't have them.

The a/c controls are different for the Series II

The ECU mappings are subtly different.

As mentioned before, the internal trim is definitley different (and nicer)

The seatbelts seemed to move around too. Early ones seem to be most on the doors, leter moved to the pillar.

The Series II manual is slim but presumably everything in it is different in some way from Series I. They are as follows :-

General

Side door beams & heated seats + a coat of clear flourine paint for the European models

Engine Fuel & Emmision Control System

Wiring harness has been changed

Clutch

Prop Shaft & Diff carrier

Oil cooler wiring changed

Steering system

Super HICAS system

It doesn't always make clear exactly what has changed, sometimes it's as simple as a cable rerouting but it does say that the model was introduced in April 1992, which I believe is when mine was made.

The UK spec cars changes; In addition to Dave W's list, Side impact bars.

Plus....the later Japanese cars had a thicker floor pan and extra strengthening in the body to improve the crash worthiness, and increase the overall torsional strength.
