HKS Filter owners should read this!

Hi Andy,

 

I have an HKS filter - and am about to switch to another style since I'm most unhappy with the filtration. The pair of turbos I had fitted last year had the leading edges of the compressor wheels eroded by the larger particles that the filter permits. Not good.

 

(Warren will disagree with the above - since he has an HKS and not experienced any problems).

 

However, any filter where you can visibly see through the holes in the filter sponge has to be frowned upon in my opinion now.

    there's an HKS in mine, but not for long after reading that. i like the look of the blitz and my brother is running one on his mildly modded civic with no probs so far, but if the apexi can clean that well and give the best performance, thats the way im going.

    is that each side or a full kit? do they do a kit to include nice hoses to the tubs inlet/tub-intercooler/intercooler-manifold?

    If that post (Siraff) was aimed at me then the answer is no. The kit contains the airfilter, gasket and fixing bolts. Not quite sure what you are speaking of but it sounds like you are referring to intercoolers ... (?) and their associated hosery, etc. ;)

     

    You can get nice shiny stainless steel hardpipes from Smithy (Smithy's Place on the Traders Forum) but we (DTA-Motorsport.co.uk) do the same type of hardpipe kit although not officially sold in the UK/Forum.
