What do I need to do, to Decat a Mongoose exhaust. How much will it cost and stuff, parts. Can anyone help me? Is there a place where I can read how to do it. I need more power.

Yes my cat ran into a mongoose. The poor thing didnt know what hit it.

 

 

Presumably the mongoose exhaust is Cat back, so you're talking about decatting the std nissan jobbies. You can rip out the internals of the cat but best option is to fit replacement pipe available from Johnny, SE and others. Cheapest option is gutting the cats (see TT net for instructions) but there is a theory that this is not as good for airflow as replacenment pipe because the gasflow slows down as it passes into the large space where the cat used to be. And of course you can't refit them afterwards oif you need to. Later models had a precat and that is more of a problem.

Is this where the breather kit comes into action? When you have problems after gutting the cat(s)???
