Today i put mig tips in my car. 1.0mm. They worked a treat and boost went up to a healthy 1.0bar on my Greddy gauge. Good idea? not sure because it ran fine all day, smooth and powerful, but on the way home (taking it easy for the first time in the day) i started to smell oil. Checked oil pressure and fine, boost fine, temp fine. stopped and there was loads of smoke from under the bonnet. Left it shut for a min incase of fire, then opened the bonnet. oil all over the left hand rear of the engine bay and it was dripping down to smoke off the exhaust. went to check the oil level and found that the dipstick had blown itself out. I thought this was the end of my troubles as i put it back in and all seemed well, even under full boost. But... 2mins down the road and the same thing happened again as i was overtaking a car (and nailing it). same again. all seems well and im getting no smoke from the exhausts. any ideas? anyone else had this? is it a turbo/seal?are the seals replaceable if it is and is it worth it?

someone please help. im really worried that its gonna be something bad. cheers. si.

I think someone has mentioned that blocked PCV hoses could cause this as there'e no where for the pressure to go...

May be worth doing a search on PCV hoses.

PS They're not very expensive, about 50 quid, and you could probably do them yourself

Yup - jammed PCVs is the answer - you are using boost to pressurise the crankcase - the only place the air can escape is through the dipstick so it blows it out. I'd get this sorted ASAP because otherwise you'll be starting to blow seals left right and centre (no eskimo jokes please :D).

Eskimo breaks down on his snow mobile. A welshman is passing by and offers to help. After looking at the snow mobile for a while, the welshman turns to the eskimo and says "I think I know what your problem is! You've blown a seal" to which the eskimo replies:
