Just wondering if someone can give me some advice.

I have a 1990 non-turbo 300 auto (import). When I quickly remove my foot from the accelerator I can hear a metallic "clunk". I am fairly sure this is coming from the back of the car. Anyone have any ideas what this could be or has someone had the same problem (if so, how much was it to repair?)

I had a similar sound on another car and it was the rear suspension that was seriously screwed,

it could be anything though from boot lid to a can of deicer (unlikely ;))

probably best to get it to a garage and get them under it to take a look, id do it quickly though, don't want your wheels or diff falling off.

Thanks Mike. Looks like it is the propshaft centre bearing causing the problem. Just before I go and order a new one from Nissan, anybody got one? Must be the non-turbo bearing (p/n 37521-33P26 or 27 - the TT bearing ends "25" and will not fit).

Thanks,

Colin.

Did someone mention my name???????????

EDIT oooopppssss ROFL.... just read your post again, and cleared the smudge off the monitor LOL... you said clunk not dunk... lol.
