Heater temprature

I am not sure if it is just me being always bloody cold but the heater never seems to be very warm. The aircon works fine in the summer. In the winter the car gets up to temp after about 3 miles from a morning start. I can set the climate to 40 and drive for another 15 miles and not even break into a sweat. Now I know the car claims to do many things and a sauna is not one of them but is this normal for a zx?

Cheers

PS

Good job I have heated seats!

Nope. I get heat through the floor from the zorsts as well as the heater so its usually too warm. Has it always been so on yours?

Possibility is a jammed shut heater control valve or air control flaps or...

Are you sure that the heater matrix hasnt been by passed by a previous owner. Its a common fault that they burst and the easy fix is to by-pass it in summer because you'd never notice it was gone. look for a U bend hose that goes straight back to the engine and 2 unused pipes sticking out the bulkhead!

Thanks for the reply willie

There is some heat comming through the vents and on a long journey the car would get to a comfortable temprature and I will check out these points.

It has been like this since I have had the car (middle of last winter) it is almost like the heater matrix has an air lock and is only half full (like a house rad that needs bleeding)
