Generally I like Americans. My sister married a great bloke but occassionally one of them does his best to re-inforce old stereotypes.

I've met loads of nice Americans! Well, they are nice until you start having a laugh with them, and then the wonderful sense of humour they all claim to have vanishes and they get all stroppy and shirty! LMFAO!!:rofl: :rofl: :slap:

Stereotypes fit both sides of the pond on the whole but there are a few over there that are utter stormers! My best mate in America is the editor of a newspaper in PA. He is the smartest guy I have ever met and utterly human with it too. Others are so typically American it makes me cringe, including my wife`s twin sister who refused an invitation to come over earlier this year because of possible repurcussion of the 9/11 thing.

 

Some are stars but in my (extensive to date) experience, most are pretty much of the opinion that if it don`t happen within the US then it don`t happen.
