Ola, me again!

After yesterday's torrential downpours I noticed something very annoying on my Zed. First of all part of the driver's seat was wet where water had leaked through the top of the side window and the rubber door seal. The other was that when I opened the rear hatch, half the North Sea came pouring down from the inside of the hatch! As far as I can see, water collects at the bottom corners of the glass and usually stays there until it either evaporates or gets moved on by the wind. I guess that I must have a leak between the seal and the metal of the rear hatch. Anyone experienced this before and is their a quick fix solution? Don't fancy replacing the seal as it is quite expensive and odd job to do.

Cheers!

There should be a little drainage hole in the front corner (when you take the glass panel out) check it isnt blocked.....thats why it leaks inside, mine did till I cleared the blockage.

Mine still leaks when I goto the jet wash....water peressure and all that, ahh the joys of owning a Z smile.gif

I just take a tea towel to the car cash now and wipe up the drips after. Only real solution is get the sills re-done.

Check both sides for blockages though.

I got a strip of flexible rubber and cut a bit to fit between the targa panel and the top of the windscreen. It stopped the leak for about 18 months. I need another bit of rubber now though!

Cheers,

Andy

I find a periodic good clean of all rubber around the roof panels with good old washing up liquid does the trick.

Also make sure all surfaces are dry before putting th epanels back on. Do this at the end of summer and no more leaks all winter!

Re the tail gate throwing water into the boo when you open it. Live with it, they all do that after a good downpour. Always does it onto the CD changer as well! Bugger!
