Shaking

Recently my car has had a shaking/ juddering problem, it does this at about 100mph onwards, i have had new tyres put on all round and balancing, but the problem still exists.

What can this be?

pleaze help as i have a need for speed....

It could well be your propshaft out of balance, that seems to be a common problem or maybe the center bearing is on it's way out.

Have you had any work done on the car that may have required prop removal? I ask this because the propshaft has to be re-installed using a specific method.

Failing that, it could be anything really, knackered ball joints, cv joints, track rod ends.

Does the noise come and go or is it constant regardless of whether you're accelerating/decelerating or going straight/cornering?

Big allys and an over enthusiastic tyre fitter with an air impact wrench can distort the front hubs. Try backing off your front wheel nuts and re tighten evenly to the correct torque settings.

Did your tyre fitters have rear and front wheels off at the same time?? I had awful vibes when swapping my fronts for my rears - of couse this will only apply to Jap standard 225's....
