How critical is TV size in a room? I have a 36" CRT in a room which is about 12 foot by 11 foot. Is this too big ? I never thought it would be , but one guide I read said I need to be 11 foot from the screen !:eek:

For screens, you need to be between 3 and 10 times the size of the screen away to be safe.

Nar, not that critical; that room is fine.

 

If you can see the dots then you are too close.

 

More important is comfortable seating, good ventilation and

some other low level lighting not reflecting in the screen.

Yes, I've got a 46" widescreen and I sit around 11-12 feet away. It's fine.
