Hi Neil

Manual TT 300bhp at the crank

Auto TT 280bhp at the crank

Don't know about the n/a

I take it from the question you're trying to decide which to go for ?

Trust me go for a TT.

hope this helps

Robin

Considering on buying 2 a N/A for winter and a TT for summer.

First Rear wheel drive you see and the thought of 300 bhp and ice are a bit scarey

Thats more how im thinking:rolleyes:

What would that set me back?

Is it decent traction control because some cars with it are terrible:confused:

Most people on here use Race Logic TC. Excelent bit of kit, you can adjust the amount of slip with a dial.

Not sure about price, around £450 mark I think.

Mine had it already in

Robin

Well I paid £860 for mine :(. But if you get in on a group buy you can pay between £450 and £600.

Excellent bit of kit.

Listen to Stuart.

Buy manual TT, fit tc or learn to control your right foot!

Two Zeds, have you considered the cost of insurance??

Simmo303 is right, learn how to drive. Anyone who NEEDS traction control becasue they are forever loosing the back end when they dont mean to cant drive, period.

don't get an N/A, most hot hatches nowadays will easily waste you. ;)

I've just bought traction control mainly as a toy, but i live in wales where there's about a 50/50 chance of it being wet LOL and have a around 300bhp/tonne. :)

It gets a bit scary in ice, mainly because the ABS is totally shite in snow.

back end is quite easily to bring in line if you loose it. Im considering traction control just because it seems like a neat mod :) has anyone had any problems with traction control and their insurance company?

Stus better half has a NA and it is in no way sluggish :)

I dont think its as much as not been able to drive, just the fact that i dont want to pile it up. I do have a very heavy right foot;)

and dont want it to get me into bother.

ive just sold my 240 BHP rover coupe and am currently in the process of selling my 254 BHP escort RS turbo. So i know that even the twin turbo wont be as quick as the escort but the ass end doesnt step out on that and its just a totally different kettle of fish:rofl:

P.S. if anyone wants to buy my escort or knows anyone that might want it then its for sale at £3500 just contact me for more details, its also going to be on telly soon as its just won the reverand bob shootout for been the most powerful car in its category ( under 2.0 ) also won me a nice set of new 17" BBS wheels:)

It's not a matter of needing it, we can all drive carefully, but it's so much fun with TC. especially set at 20% slip. ;). Have you ever been in a 300zx TT with Racelogic TC ?. If not you gotta get someone to take you out mate, I'm sure you'll love it.

I remember in the convoy at the brighton meet, we were all having a bit of a race, on the A23, we came to a roundabout, not sure who was in the outside lane, but I turned the slip down to 10% and floored it round this roundabout, taking him on the inside, he got his arse out while I shot off into the distance :D.

I think most of us who own these cars can drive, some buy TC for Safety, some buy it for fun.

I have it for a a bit of both, but it's very rare that I switch it away from 20% slip. That way you can get a good arse out and you can actually correct it before the TC kicks in.

Stuart, I agree, but my point was NEEDING it just to be able to drive without getting the back out. As was hinted at in this post earlier.

Which is different to wanting it to enable you to drive faster etc.

There are too many drivers (?) who forget the throtle works two ways.
