Std gap is 0.044", use decent gauge to check.

Beware busting the tip!

Have you bought a cooler plug?

Hi Simmo

Yes its an iridium plug.

When i was running high boost it was blowing out the flame with my current plugs so was an excuse to spend more money;)

Cheers

are you sure the gap is 1.1mm on HKS iridiums??

they are the same as/made by denso and their iridiums are pre-gapped to 0.8mm

Hi Guys

I dont know what the gap is meant to be

The garage i bought them from said they are already set at the right gap!!! which i find strange as they surly could fit into any car.

The garage is a very large nissan performance garange as well.

So if you know what gap i should use please tell me as i'm fitting them tomorrow

Cheers

Hi,

As Jezz says, these are made for HKS by Denso - rebadged and price inflated. Would be interested to know what price they sell for - please PM if poss.

It depends which heat range you've selected as to what the gap setting is...

Iridiums are available in standard, warmer and colder heat ranges than the standard Z heat range (NGK 6, HKS '30'). If you bought a '30' then the preset gap is 1.1mm. 35, 40 or 45 is 0.8mm. Any of these gaps should be ok for the Z TT.

I think the idea is that if you need to put a colder plug in due to upgrades then the gap is preset smaller to allow for the increased combustion pressure.

Hi Rob

I just paid about £14.50 per plug for the HKS ones

The denso ones are about £10 each...but i didnt know this till after i bought them!!

Pain to fit, you have to remove half the engine!!
