“Coming home from work, Simon had just put his key in the lock of his door when he heard his wife Betty scream, "Bill, don't kill me!" He dashes in to find Betty dead with a knife buried in her chest. Standing around the body are a postman, a doctor, and a lawyer. The husband immediately knows the postman killed his wife. How?”

Featured Replies

Because the doctor and lawyer are both women.

And Bill has been their postman for years so he knows his name anyway! LOL.

How many points is that???

Assuming Simon came home in the evening, what was a postman doing there? They deliver in the mornings.....

Maybe postie had a name badge saying "Hi I'm Bill"

:D

Perhaps the post-man was Bill Clinton, having fallen on hard times? :D:D It could happen! ;) Or maybe Bill Cosby, or even Portland Bill - Children's entertainer gone bad!!

Welll the clue is in the wife's scream of "Bill, don't kill me!". The bill in question was actually a gas bill that the postman had trained to be a lethal assasin over several months by a process of brainwashing and hypnosis. Simon is actually the postman which is how he knows he did it and he was putting the key in the lock from the inside of the house because he's one of those rare postmen who works from home. The knife buried in the wife's chest of drawers was actually a red herring, which was beginning to smell a bit and had caused the doctor to pass out so it couldn't have been him, and the lawyer was actually a paraplegic dwarf from a passing troupe of travelling circus lawyers so couldn't possibly have trained the gas bill.

Ummm, think I'd better go to bed now

If that's true then who's the dude in this picture ?

That'll be the master detective Dylan, infamous actor and solver of the crime

Postie is nekkid and holding a bloodstained knife and has carved his name in Betty.

That site says the real answer is that the doctor and the lawyer are both women meaning they couldn't posibly be called Bill. Pah! what a crap answer, what if the doctor's name is Wilhemena and the lawyer is called Belinda?

Maybe my mind is just too lateral for these quizes

Hi Dylan, welcome back!

And what about "A Boy Named Sue" and "My Girl Bill"?

Ever watched 2 Point 4 children? Isn't the lead character a woman called Bill?

Nice to see you lot are still arguing all day :) I'm off to Turkey for a couple of weeks now, enjoy what's left of the British summer with your T tops off
