Group buy on hotel rooms??;)

 

Can anyone let me know of any hotels/B&B's that are not so far away from SE for the open day and RR day.

 

I can feel a right good p**s up on its way as well.

It's gotta be a get on the net and see what's what. AFAIK there aint that much in the way of hotels in Maldon (where SE is). But the rolling-road day won't be in Maldon anyway. So if everyone wants to hook up somewhere and go out drinking maybe we need to decide a best place. Chelmsford aint /that/ far away and it's got tons of bars full of tottie. Don't ask me where the best are tho. Anyone? Crazy Eddie I'm looking at you.

I found a nice 6 bedroom house to stay in in Mayland sea about 5 mins drive from SE :D.

It's got parking for about 8 zeds, private gardens with large pond, fried breakfast, and the best bit is it's free !!!!!!

 

Aren't parents great :D !!

Well can I bagsee a room, parking space and fried breakfast then? :confused: Par-tey? :dance:

hmm.. although I have lived in Maldon for some time, I dunno any Hotels.

 

At this moment I am still grovelling with the missus to allow me to have some car buddies round for the night.

 

I have a spare bedroom, but Hostile Housewife strikes again :rolleyes:

Not exactly a massive tourist spot, is it? Just wondering whether any of the pubs (like the one on the river) would put people up?

 

How well do you know Chelmsford? There must be a few hotels there. And I bet you've been out on the p*ss in Chelmsford enough times... no?

Guess that's a no then eh Stu? ;) Yeah, that one you suggested looks kinda near. Loads of curry houses in the high street AFAIR. Depends how p*ssed everyone wants to get of course. I'd be happy just knocking back a couple and having a chat, otherwise I aint gonna get up for the rolling-road day on the Sunday... which is kinda the point, right?!

Hmm... cars... well, depending on how they feel about it, and how much room there is, maybe a few could be locked up in SE and the rest left at their storage place... which is only a short walk from the high street anyway. And there's a nice pub on the way ;)

 

Is this starting to sound like a plan or somink?! Back to kirbz original point, we could get a bit of discount for booking a whole load of rooms at the same time. I'm not doing an Ajay and paying for it all tho!

It's very simple... the rolling road is in Witham - 5 minutes drive (apparently) up the road from SE. Likewise hoping I have some kind of car to slap on the rollers... or an engine with a pair of wheels to put up some big numbers.

I had a go at Bob on Saturday for parking my car next to yours.

 

I said I didn't want it to be parked there incase the curse spread onto my car. :D :D:D:D:D:D

Oi you b*stard! :slap: I've got enough curse to go around for everyone! You even parking in the same car-park means your lumps prolly gonna blow up in a few months time. In fact, the curse has spread to my mates M3 - it's not even species specific! But then our cars have been strangely linked since we got them. You know that's why my car's black, don't you?!... it started out white, but as the curse grew, it got darker and darker. It's all true you know!? :rolleyes:

Theres a travel lodge about 8 miles away which i have spoken to SE today and they say its the best bet.

 

Now i have booked 4 double rooms under my name as this was the max i could hold so if the people who want a room lets me know.
