Its not lack of airflow causing the detting - its the fact that the MAS cannot 'see' the extra air going into the engine due to it being maxxed out ;) Worth trying the twip pop install IMO ;)

I have a dual pop with 555cc injector chip upgrade I can send you.

 

SGP in the U.S will sort a dual pop for you.......don't forget the driveability upgrade.

In theory, you shouldn't need the drivability upgrade if you tweak the VQ table in the ECU. I've got an emulator if you want to try it. Looked into this a while ago, and the drivability thing isn't considered to be a particularly good idea as it lets unmetered air in to correct the richness at idle.
