Hi,

Putting a new det sensor loom onto my engine, it is the wiring that fails on this due to the excessive heat and vibration in the centre of the engine!

I was thinking about protecting it in some heat resistant coating/wrap or replacing the wiring on this for something more flexible/heat resistant!

Any ideas!

What about exhaust wrap, got it from down pipes back to middle, certainly stops plenty of heat,if ya wrap det senor loom with it ,would stop heat getting to it,just a thought;)

Does anyone know if they loom only has one wire feeding the det sensor as my one has a vacant slot in the plug with only one spade end in it

Hi Mark, my old (original) one had two wires, but the new one I bought only has one. However this is in keeping with the oil pressor sender etc that all use the engine as the negitive. (Besides my ECU is happy ;-))
