My aerial only goes retracts partially, leaving about 150mil sticking out. This happens about 99% of the time. Does anyone know why or how to sort this out or should I just replace it???

 

I've cleaned it to no affect.

Mines exactly the same.

 

How do you fix it?

Mine does that now and again. Oil it with WD40 and keep turning the stereo on/off, keep doing that (oiling then on/off)and it will eventually work :)

It worked for me but then soon started doing it again. The problem is over time the ariel as bent slightly in the wind causing trouble when you put it down.

And the crap that sticks to it.

Thats true too.

 

You also find that because the ariel isnt all the way down, more dirt gets into it.

 

I have taken mine apart and cleaned it till it looked new. Still didnt do anything.
