Just took my tension rods off.......when they come off the wheel springs forward a bit, so holes do not line up, car is on ramps, how do I get the holes to line up?

Thanks

got it.........had to jack up the frame in order to spring the wheels.

Got the tension rods on, but 2 of the bolts sheared off that hold the plastic undertray, so had to leave it off. Is it advisable to keep the tray on? I will have to remove the snapped bolts, are any of you running without the tray?

Thanks

John

Matterless.

No tray with pillow ball rods.

Glad to see you thought of jack!

Simon,

Took it for a test run, feels great, you can even feel the difference around the side roads.

I thought only one of my Nissan tension rod bushes was gone (because it was leaking) but the other side was even worse, looked liked it had leaked years ago and now was dried out and cracked.

Thanks,

John

John,

I guess you've learn't this already now but, NEVER start dismanteling the suspension when the car is sitting on it's wheels!

Glad you got it sorteTim

Yes Tim, I should have known.

At least with the car on ramps, its easy to put a block of wood under the frame and jack the car up with a hydraulic trolley jack.

Cheers

Glad to hear that. Bends are where the difference shows up.

Braking too, you'll find it's more under control.

One of the easiest jobs you'll ever do for the biggest effect.

After looking at the old one, I can see why I am noticing a big improvement.
