Tyre prices and evaluation

Guys,

 

Put the car through the MOT and it would seem that the o/s rear tyre has a stress fracture on the inside. The tread seems to be coming away from the tyre and quite rightly so, they failed me on it.

 

Its a dunlop 9000 sprt, £200 worth of tyre?!? Is this a common problem as the tyres are only 9 months old and have about 25% tread left. The n/s rear has a tear on the outside so I am replacing the two.

 

I got two 255/35/18 for £360 all in, dunlop 9000 sports to match the front two.

 

Is this a good price???

    Goto http://www.mytyres.net and have a look there at tyre prices. They give you a good idea of what is good vaule.

     

    Personally for Dunlop 9000 thats a little expensive, but I dont have much experience trying to buy 18" tyres.
