Been offered a car that is on the list as Category D, guy says car has been is front end crash and has had new wing, bonnet and bumper.

Does this sound right for Cat D and would an RAC/AA inspection pick up on and chassis damage if any?

Car is going for 10k when straight ones are 15k Any advice.

PS It`s a GTR33

Cat D is pretty minor damage so yes it does sound right to me. If its a nice car I would buy it at that price.

Is it true that if you were to say trade it in a dealer will not touch it,just something someone said to me once:confused:

possibly because firstly a dealer wants it to sell on and make a profit and the lower value of a recorded car will have an effect on this. And secondly the general public will sh1t their pants at the thought of buying a repaired car and shy away from it.

The truth of the matter is that there is nothing wrong with a car if it has been repaired properly, cars are often written off as cat c or d these days with such things as electrical fires or cosmetic damage.

If you dont want it Bob gimmee a shout :D:D
