Has anyone got a pic of this from the front or front quarter?

Preferably on a silver or light coloured Z?

With UK legal numberplate?

Or a link to one.

Thanks - Gio

Thanks Tony

I pm'ed her last night to ask whose that was so I could ask them but no luck yet.

Any idea who it belongs to?

Cheers - Gio

Like this one ?

Yeah, I know it's not silver, but the plate is legal anyway.

Yes mate ,it belongs to Deano on here,http://www.myzx.co.uk :)

Forgot to say he is selling due to getting married,:( ;)

Thanks guys - very helpful.

Andy - your vents aren't standard, are they? (The ones just in front of the wheels.) And is there a kit for mounting the plate or just make-it-up-as-you-go-along?

Thanks again - Gio (still sitting on the bloody fence)

Ta, Mac

(hahahaha - always wanted to say that :D "Ta Mac" Geddit? Oh well, please yerselves!)

Yup, non-standard vents, and UK plate just bolts straight on. Should imagine it flexes a bit when I'm wellying it though, although there are no marks on the bodywork to indicate it goes that far.

Hi Gio,

Got some more pics but they are on my pc at home. I can email you some if you want.

I had it put on by the bodyshop that Jeff (Zedworld) uses, who did a brilliant job, good finish and match.

Unfortunately I won't be able to admire it for too long as I need to get it sold

Nevermind. I could always get another after we are married and not tell the missus. Anyone know where I can get good garage rental rates... :D

Nice one gents - ta. Just what I wanted to know. Which you don't always get on this forum! :)

If you could e-mail a pic from straight on - if there is one, that's be very nice indeed.

I still can't decide on between the anally-retentive keep it stock or the go on it looks nice why don't you.

Yours on the fence - Gio

PS Deano - I'd look after it for you. Very reasonable rates, only a tenner a week!

Hi Gio,

Will email you pics tonight.. ;)

Cheers,

Dean.

Not exactly head on, but it's from the 1999 spec brochure.

its not silver, nor does it have a uk front no plate, but it is a 99 spec front & its mine - & i like it :D

Smart Shane, ta - I usually remember to check Luke's site but forgot this time. D'oh.

Paul C - damn. The look changes depending on the angle, doesn't it. Looks very nice on yours.

I saw AndyP's last year and thought that's nice. Then I saw the yellow one on AndyP's site and thought it looked even nicer.

Now I have to make up my own mind for my own car - errrrr tilt.

I think the stock looks very suited to the Z especially if the black matt strip gets put back. The 99 spec looks (from some angles) a bit like a gaping hole (I am exaggerating to illustrate the point). So I had just about persuaded my self to put the stock back on.

Then Mike F persuaded me that it looks really nice and along comes Deano's and Paul C's which do.

Ah well, p'raps some red wine tonight will help me decide (fat chance!).

It looks as if the 99 spec improves airflow through both rad and intercoolers - does it or is it just optical illusion?

Cheers - and thanks, guys - Gio

i have an unpainted one sat in the the back room, the airflow is definately improved, the only thing i dont like is the new tinted indicators dont really match with the clear side repeaters and clear fogs, im also gonna paint the mesh matt black rather than silver as i think it would suit my red car better. but the silver looks ok on light cars and dark cars, but for some reason i dont like it on red ones.

There was a very nice silver Z with 99 front parked next to Jeff's tent at Billing this year. I can't find my pics of it but someone must have one.

It looked superb in silver mate.

My tuppence...

Not sure about the front bumper, I think it makes the Zed look to happy :D

for the more mean look stick with the stock...much better in the rear mirror

Thanks - all good stuff.

Deano sent me a bunch of pics of his silver one from several angles and I have come to two conclusions and a question.

Should the mesh be in silver or matt black?

The thing that worries me most is numberplate position. It just doesn't look right - even small letters.

I want the JDM one when I'm pissed and the stock one when I'm sober! :D

Cheers - Gio

I think the mesh should stay silver, looks good on a dark car and think might just look like a big hole on a silver or light coloured car.

You haven't got much choice when it comes to the number plate as there is a flat mount already for it on the bumper. I guess this could be shaved off if you were really that bothered.

I can take a close up pic of mine (not fitted or painted yet) if you want?

Ah, didn't know that. Yes please a pic of the bumper as it arrives (eg before the numberplate has been fitted) would be very interesting.

You learn something new every day. And sometimes, on this forum, effing shedloads!

if you look at the piccie of mine - you can just see the edge of the moulding for the no plate. :)

I will take a pic of mine so you can see it exactly but cant post it up till I get home.
