Has anyone put this in their engine oil ? I did yesterday and now its running on 5 cylinders ( i think). Its not performing at all. Feels like it does when there are knackered plugs and your trying to boot it.

It was already full of engine oil but i thought a little wont do any harm, so i put in little bottle and now its well f@@ked.

Could this be because its over full ?

If so i will do an oil/filter change at the weekend and drain it all out! Someone help !

Im gutted

   :(

There are many people who will slag Slick off, and perhaps they are right. But I doubt very much that anyone will think that it caused your problems.

Are you sure you didnt spill it over something, or knock something off?

There has been big debates about this. One argument is if Slick 50 is so good, why dont oil companies put it in their oil when they ship it out. The reason is they do. Not actually Slick 50 but they put their own products in to give the same results, so people on here dont tend to use it.

I doubt it would cause those problems. Over filling oil usually blows oil rings, seal and gaskets.

The issue with Slick 50 etc is that after use your engine will require slightly higher revs to get the same power output. Looking at the articles, I chose to take this option If you want your Zed to be all out power then don`t do it. However, if you can take having to put an extra 50-70 revs to get the same output while knowing that your precious engine and turbos are protected at startup then go for it.

IMVHO, the pros outwiegh the cons. I have had no problems with my slick treatment to date. Hope all gets sorted for you.....

Ok, you put the oil in through the filler cap? I'd say you've dislodged the coilpack lead/connector thats immediately next to it - check the connector is secure on the coilpack ;)
