I know this has been posted on here a million times before, but could someone please give me a decent oil and filter to use on my N/A 92, 300zx. Is it best to buy a standard nissan oil filter or are there some spurious ones on the market out there? Thanks for any help - Mike

nissan filter is only about £6 anyway so go for oe filter. personally i use magnatec oil and had no probs. a lot of people on this forum use castrol rs.

Hello Mate,

There have been some discussion on TT.net about the new Nissan filter for the Z and its capabilites!

I personally use Champion Filters as they seem to come out very highly on all the independant tests!

I use Mobil1 15-50 fully synthetic, I would say most branded fully synthetic oils are suitable though!
