I have called DTMotorsport to ask about wheels, thanks to RichardSmith who said:

I've just bought a set of 17 inch Azev "A" wheels with Goodyear GDS3 tyres from DT Motorsport in Essex.

Front 8X17 with 235/45/17

Rear 9.5X17 with 255/40/17

The guy I talked to was really helpful (unlike some other mail order wheel places) and said most people who get 300zx wheels from them go for the sizes above. Another place I called said, nah mate, don't have anything that would fit.

Those are the sizes I'd like, but I am not keen on the Azev wheels (and I would prefer something without the bolt cover). Can anyone tell me what they have on their car, or that they know would fit? I've decided on 17s with 9.5 at the rear. Anyone know of other wheels that you can get two sizes in?

The car is a short wheel base Jap import. The guy at DT said it would be fine to have bigger at the back. The point he said about the Azev's was that they were machined at the factory to have the right offset, are there any other wheels like this?

Had AzevA wheels fitted 3 years ago and do like them, they are a very well made alloy and are easy to clean.

However I will be replacing with Blitz wheels soon,I like those even better;)

Now I see them on the car I like them. What I don't like is loads of spokes. So you can get Blitz machined to the right offset like Azevs? They go straight onto the car?

Cheers,

Rich

The Blitz wheels fit straight on,so do the Azevs.

Only bad thing with Blitz is they retail at £2500 without tyres:rolleyes:

little bit out of my price range. I need tyres AND wheels for about £1000 or so. £600 or more a wheel is a wee bit too much. The wheels would end up worth the same as the car. Oh dear
