i have noticed most wide arch kitted zeds have the deep dish rear wheel, is there a reason for this other than looks. i have just bought my wheels and they are all 18x10" but all 4 only have a slight dish about an inch. will i have trouble with the rear wheel bearings when the spacers are fitted.

cheers ..lee

 WTF.....

Did you say all of the wheels are 18 x 10" ???

Erm... I don't wanna sound rude but 18"x 10" on the front is not only gonna look a little strange, but you are gonna be rubbing splash guards left right and center mate .

yes 18x10", i bought them 2nd hand refurbed. the man said 8.5" front and 10" rear but i measured them myself the other day and they are 10". they dont look strange at all. it is fitted with a 235 tyre which i thought might be a little small but it looks like its sitting right. 275 on rear.

cheers ..lee

and they dont scrub the splash guard/ arch trim etc either

235 on a 10" rim  I didn't think this was possible. I put 265 on my 10" rear and that was about as small as I could go ???.

Oh well if it sits right and doesn't rub, then you done well mate.

Still confused though, would love to see them, got any pictures ?

i will post some pics when subscibed, my cheques being sent this week. your making me wonder now but i definetly measured them myself and 10" unless there is some kind of special way of measuring them. i just put tape measure edge to edge. front and back identical. i might be taking my zed up to trax sunday so will probably see you there

i can appreciate what your saying but like i said i measured the wheel myself. the tyre looks seated to me but i think i'll take it up to local tyre garage to make sure. it was an experienced motorsport garage that fitted them in the first place so i would hope it was right

cheers ..lee

anyway has anyone got an answer for my original question?

cheers ..lee

Lee No there is no reason for the dish it is just for looks,Geoff had stock alloys fitted on a Strosek wide arch.

If your rear bearings are nice and tight at present, you should not have any problems by fitting rear hub spacers.
