Just found a small printed circuit board under n/s front wing

the pcb is about the size of a fag packet and am wondering could it be some kind of fuel shut off!! it seems to have 2 micro switches on it:confused:

Sounds like a silly question but what does it connect to, can you trace the wiring?

Is it enclosed in something or just a pcb?

it seems to come directly off of the loom and just hangs there!!

we have removed it and the z still runs ok and all seems 2 work!!!!!!!:confused: :confused:

an old PCB from an alarm system which was fitted at some point.

 

I had an old Gemini system on my old zed to which i found wiring and black box up under the wing....

Just a thougth....

LOL, That would be your speed defender then mate.

 

It takes away the limiter on your japanese ECU. Therefore you can go over 112.

 

If you want to test it. Disconnect one of the wires and find yourself a private test track (these usually come in two lane versions ;)) then give it a blast and see if you can hit 120. If the car jumps at about 112 - 115 then you know why.

 

If your car been converted to MPH then it may have another one of these behind the dash. So many not be needed.

 

But since you have removed it try the 120 thing and see what happens.

YES THERE IS A GREEN BOX WITH RELAYS

Well if you find out what that does at the same time then you're a star cos feck knows what it is and mines got the wires dangling outta it!

Found out what it is.........................it is the intermitant control for wipers!!!:) :)

No its not..........................................it controls the front headlight/dipped beam... when the side lights r on the head lamps come on very dimmly then twist to headlamp and they come on normal this pcb controls this
