I asked our IT bloke here and he said "Well, it should work, reboot it and see if that fixes it"

Typical  ;)

rebooting is the answer to everything..

Pc's crashed - Reboot PC

Printers not working - turn it off and on again

fax machine - turn it off and back on

Photocopier - switch it off for 5mins.

Its part of the IT handbook

exactly.

you can apply it to anything..

You know the sort of people.

:D

LOL!!!:D You've ben reading my profile! Personaly I hate paper, my office is stuffed full of the crap. I work for a Midlands based company, with an 18th Century mentality......everything you do has a form to be filled-in, and copies sent to everyone and his whippet!:D

I've also had a gripe with IT bods in whatever company I've worked for. They're fantastic at telling you how old and outdated your system is. They know exactly what the latest multi giga-hertz chip is, how many 'terra-bytes' on the best hard-drive, what the fastest graphics cards and best sound cards are. They are great at talking about things in C++ or J or whatever............but absolutely fugging HOPELESS at actually FIXING anything!!! Oh, and by the way, I've worked for Oracle/DHL systems, Agfa Data Imaging Systems and Xerox Printing systems. I've also worked with guy's from IBM, ARIBA technologies and DocuCorp.......all the bloody same! :( :D

Err no...... it IS the IT handbook! LOL!:D

yep...

Turn your brain off and back on again.... usually by appying a high voltage shock.

You'd completely have forgotten about the headache

Paper is better than crap IT systems.

Readily available info is best in wahtever medium WORKS.

you cant delete paper though

Flame deletes paper too. Also coverts it into a far more storage friendly format, without the need for a Project Manager, 10 programmers, 5 troubleshooters and Lord knows how many other 'con-tractors':D :D

can you undelete it though?

Get it right first time and you won't need too!!:p

But sales people etc.. never do...

They'd be better with an abacus

Sales 'people' would be better if they didn't all rent the same brain cell.

didnt know they rented one!!

I'll think more of them next time
