got pulled this morning, copper wasn't too bad- he let me off with a *****cking.here's the problem -my speedo appears to be inaccurate. got talking to previous owner, oh yes he knew about it he pulled the needle off to fit a new speedo scale then drove at 30( another car set the pace) and stuck the needle back on.I think I'll have to get another set of clocks( unless someone here knows different). question is will I need an import set(kmh) or will uk spec fit and work ok in my n/a import

Ok God.

There are places which can calibrate your dash again. I think Z centre do, as they sell dial faces and offer a fitting service. Give them a call

You will probably have to send it off to them or drive down there. I suspect that the revs, water and fuel gauges are not correct then.

You can try to get a 2nd hand dash, but there are not many NAs and I am not too sure whether a NA dial is mechanically different to a TT dial.

I would ask ZCentre first see if they can fix the problem first.

They can be calibrated on a rolling road, or with a bit more dedication using a handheld GPS. However, if the needle is in the wrong place to start with then you will need to get that sorted. How far out do you reckon it is ?

NA dashes can't be that different cos I have a SWB NA and the previous owner swapped the stock dials for Nismo turbo ones (kind of odd because they're still in kmph, so he stuck in a digital speedo too, for mph).

If it helps I still have the NA dials, but the clear plastic cover is broken :S Seems like you won't need them anyway :P

i fitted uk turbo dash straight into my jap NA, so they go across the models, easier to find a turbo one, cos theyre dead common :) just means you have a turbo guage.

Hope this helps

I've got my TT instrument cluster around somewhere. series 1 jap spec. Give me a shout if you want it.

I thought that the speed chime should sound at 115 kmh which is about 70mph i think, having watched the speedo on a long run today the speed chime sounds at 80-85mph, assuming that the other traffic was obeying A road and motorway speed limits, thenI would say it's about 10-20 mph to slow. Going faster that indicated . the other thing is the pratt that took the needle off also broke the glass cover. do imports have rev limiters/speed limiters, if so I'll have to talk to the zcenter anyway I think

thanx for the help

I think the other guages are ok, but the oil pressure guge seems a little slow at times, but going to fit some digital after markets when wifeys not looking-- back at work would be better
