Hello (again) folks,

If the rear turbo seals are going would this result in a decrease in oil pressure? I'm pretty sure mine is fine although the readings do tend to vary very slightly from time to time when the car is fully warmed up.

My car reads 2 mmHg at 2000 revs when fully warmed up (TT manual). Is this about right?

Trying not to get paranoid about oil pressure but I find myself watching the oil presure guage more than the speedo when driving !

Thanks.

Martin.

Your oil pressure should be OK if you have the right amount in.

The oil pressure will change as the temperature goes up.

I think the manual says between 60 and 71PSI at 3000 rpm when fully warm.

There is a pressure release system in the engine which will not allow the pressure to go over 90psi I believe. But too high pressure tends to to break oil seals and rings in the engine.
