This might make me sound like a tight git, but is there any point in trying to paint the plastic vents between the bonnet and windscreen and if so how long is it likely to last?

Yeah, go for it. If you do it properly with primer etc, it should last a long time. A few on here have done it recently.

Yes, I did it a couple of months ago, sanded them down with smooth emery cloth, primed with spray PlastiKote primer and sprayed with PlastiKote. I did mine in black, looks good. Like all spraying out of a can, the finished article scratches easy, be carefull fitting

Yes, worth doing, did mine and very successfull, but have since seen replacements pretty cheap at ZCentre.

Yes, they are not expensive, but does anyone know how to fit them ? And do they look right ? Sometimes stuff like this has a habit of not going back right.

Thanks

John,

To do the job right, you'll need to take off the old ones anyway, don't try to prep and paint them in situ, you'll be making making the job a real pain.

Thay come off very easily, undo all the little plastic screws, pop out the clips, remove wiper arms and take them off (note plastic clips may be brittle and break, but very cheap to buy from nissan anyway.

Im so dumb...........I should have looked at the earlier posts (including my own) this post is refering to the plastic 'gutters' at the base of the winsdcreen, I did mine, I did take them off and sanded them, primed and painted them, looks good.

Somehow I thought this was about the thin ones on the pillars and above the door, etc..........I must have been half asleep or half drunk!!!!!!

Sorry for the confusion
