hey all, I'm in need of some serious advice, I'm running stock wheels and tyres,(Can't afford 17 or 18's yet) but I need some rear rubber, now I don't wish to upset anyone or start ww3 as I'm new to the site nad the world of the zx, but what seems to be the best rubber to fit for our wonderful roads and weather

Thanx in advance

Pete,

There are lots of good choices on tyres out there, you will get loads of different opinions. One thing no one can deny, the Goodyear F1 Eagle is a fantastic tyre. I needed tyres for the rear a month or so ago, so I shopped around. The big dealers on the internet quoted me as high as £350 for a pair of F1's. I found a small tyre place in Heanor, Derbyshire that got me a pair of F1's for £210, including fitting, balancing, valve etc. He even balanced the 2 fronts.

The grip is excellent, wet or dry, and from what I have seen on the forum, tyre wear is pretty good.

Regards

John
