Sorry about repeating a commonly asked question.

 

My insurance renwal quote has come through this morning at £789 for a Jap import TT (H reg), I'm 29 and have full no claims.

 

Does this sound reasonable? It doesn't to me.

 

Where else should I be looking for Jap import insurers?

I just phoned Carol Nash and was told they don't insure Jap imports:confused:

I hope the guy who quoted me got his facts right then.

I told him clear as a bell that my car was an import TT.

Is anyone on here insuring an import with Carole Nash and has there been any problems. I want to make sure its all clear before I get excited about my bargain quote.

i just tried them and they said no imports :(

just to confirm the same. after being quoted £400 last week and clearly stating that it was an import phoned back today to take cover to be told that they dont cover imports:mad: bas****s

Ring em back and tell them about the new EU law thats coming into effect, banning this kind of treatment ;)

dont worry who needs carole nash. just been quoted by houghton insurance on classic policy 5000 miles £100 excess 1990T/T import on driveway with cat1 alarm £265.44. had to ask him to confirm price twice!!:cool: :cool: :cool:

I was told that there is a new EU regulation coming in stopping insurance companys charging double price on imports.
