Electric fans

Anyone on here tried binning their viscous fan and replacing it with a big leccy fan?

Apart from bhp savings, my mechanic also reckons it'll keep under bonnet temperatures down better.

Any thoughts?

    A lot of the 200sx boys do this as did I with mine, now I have a 300zx I was thinking of doing the same !!! They use Rover 800 fans which are twin slim ones and then dump the viscous one ! You have a lot more control over them then as well !
