Can anyone tell me which pin on the back of the speedo is the feed for the speed signal. I'm trying to do a speedo conversion you see. I have one wiring diagram, but it appears to be for a different type of speedo. I've noticed before that there appears to be 2 different types of speedo for the Z32. Perhaps one is for series one and one is for series 2. The one I'm trying to the conversion for is a 1990.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Andy,

Did mine by changing a 33kohm resistor on the speedo board to 22 kohm, didnt touch the feed??

On a related note:

I've convinced my speedo is reading low. Short of sticking a revs -> common speed limits conversion chart on the binnacle, what can I do about it?!

It's a Jap import with MPH dial, so I guess it must have been converted at some point...

Mine does this too, I've read loads of posts on this and its because when they change the dial at the back they have to remove the needle which is a bugger to get back on, invariably they end up bending the needle and causing it to stick at various speeds. It really is a ball ache isn't it. The only advice I have read to resolve this is to get a new speedo:confused:   :(

Andy, did you get an answer to this as I am having a similar problem?

I need to fit a convertor to a series-2 speedo.

It often sticks when you push the needle on too far.

Try lifting it slightly by putting the tips of two teaspoons under the centre of the needle and gently lever it away by pushing down on the spoon handles.

If the needle is bent you can normally straighten it by taking it off and warming with a hairdryer, but its unlikely to be this
