Stuck CD changer magazine

All working fine and then bloody thing wont work. Try to eject and it just whrrrrs away! Any ideas on getting the magazine out without using a crowbar??

Featured Replies

I had to take mine apart and it released really easily. I found that using a CD in slot 10 caused it to jam, so I put a crappy old CD (that was in the changer when I got the car from Japan) in slot 10 to remind myself and I just made sure I didn't listen to it for more than a couple of seconds! :D

It didn't do the CD that was in slot 10 when it jammed much good though. :(

hi mate, uplug it for 5mins may reset itself, is there no rest button on it or manual winder there is on most sonys etc...;)

Roy........you're not asking the question properly! :D

There's this guy who has a stuck cd changer magazine.

It was working fine one minute but now is broken. When he presses ejects nothing happens except a strange whrrrr.

Short of using a crowbar, what can he do????

If you pop into your local ICE dealer and ask nicely, they have a tool to get your cartridge out!! Had to do this with mine only last week!

My Alpine unit came with a credit card type tool that you push in to remove it
