Does anybody Know anything about changing the stock fuel filters to inline Bosh filters ?as i was told by this Japonese guy that the stock filters have a certain amount of gravetational pull where as inline filters are much more responsive having less resistance. He says that on the z this is the first upgrade before anything else.

i thought all fuel filters were inline

I have just checked mine, and the Nissan workshop manual, fule filter is an in line canister with inlet and outlet opposite each other in the centre line of the canister.....could'nt get much more in-line than that.

Unless of course between the inlet and outlet is a well which has to fill before it reaches the outlet, but that should only be a problem if the fuel line is empty, and eben then only on the first few seconds

I really dont think theres any benefit to changing the filter as its all pressurised anyway for injection - maybe if it was still mechanical it might help......Save your money.

Yeh i saw the guy again today and he said it all depends on the year of the car as there are two different types, however he did show me a z filter and a standerd Bosh filter and there was a lot less restriction in the Bosh when you blew through it,and for the sake of a tenner i thought might be worth a try.

LMAO!! great test!!

without doing a proper flow test to see how much the system can deliver with each filter, I would take the findings of his "test" with a pinch of salt!!

I've got these things, right, which, if you stick them on your fuel filter, they give you much better fuel economy and increase performance by up to 15%!!!!!! They are a bit like magnets but they're not, cos the man said they were special!!!

i found this picture of Duffer recieving his 1st engine tuning lesson with magnets.............................
