I've noticed when driving over small bumps my gear stick wobbles i think more than normal.

Are there any engine or gearbox mounts that may have come lose i can tighten up??????

Sorted the low idling with the grub screw, also sorted the clutch adjustment.

Seems fine now.

It's probably the 2 plastic bushes that have worn on the linkage of the lever and the gearchange mechanism.

You can get to them fairly easy from underneath and I think they are only a couple of squids from Nissan.

There's also a big rubber transmission mount that might be worn but is unlikely to come loose and would be more noticeable as the gearbox shunting back and forth when you accelerate/decelerate.

do you mean the rear gearbox mount or is there another mount?, manual box of course...:D ;)

The only mounts that hold it all in are the 2 big engine mounts and the rear transmission mount.

They are not cheap either!

Engine mounts $93 each

Transmission mount $79

I dread to think how much Nissan UK want for them.

I found one of my engine mounts was completely ripped off when I took the engine out!

After reading up on some poly uprated versions and the Nismo ones it seems the Z is notorious for destroying mounts.

First I'd heard though.
